What you’ll do

• Architect and build core backend services and APIs
• Design data models and pipelines that scale cleanly
• Think rigorously about performance, reliability, and failure modes
• Own integrations, internal tooling, and system evolution over time
• Build simple systems that survive real-world complexity

• Strong fundamentals in backend engineering and system design
• Experience building and operating production systems at scale
• Clear thinking around trade-offs, edge cases, and long-term maintenance
• Bias toward simplicity, robustness, and leverage
• Comfort being responsible for things that cannot fail
